AWARDS AND ACCOLADES

Since its inception in 1989 Mistletoe has been graced with an extraordinary number of awards for a winery  of its size.

Mistletoe has quite often been referred to as “Punching well above their weight” with the quality of the wines made.

The awards and accolades Mistletoe has achieved increased markedly after the completion of the dedicated onsite winery in 2003.

Whilst Mistletoe has had  major successes with Chardonnay there have been countless awards for its  Semillon, Shiraz, Verdelho and Dessert wines.

The most recent notable awards have been,

Trophy for Best Semillon – Winewise Small Vigneron’s Awards 2014.

5 Star – Gold medal  rating for the Hunter Shiraz 2013 – Winestate August 2014.

Champion White Wine of Show – NSW Small Winemakers Show 2011 and 2013.

James Halliday Australian Wine Companion 2017 Mistletoe ratings

 

The August 4th 2016 release of James Halliday’s Australian Wine Companion (AWC) has reconfirmed Mistletoe Winery’s 5 Red Star rating.
Mistletoe has now been rated as a 5 star winery every year since 2006.
In this current edition of the AWC Mistletoe has  9 wines rated at 93 points or more.
These ratings confirm Mistletoe as one of the best,and consistent,small wine producers in the Hunter Valley and when compared to other wineries Australia wide Mistletoe “punches well and truly above it’s weight!

Sydney International Wine Competition 2014

Since it’s inception in 1982,The Sydney International Wine Competition has been   judging wines in company with food.

Mistletoe  Reserve Semillon 2009.
This is a multi- gold medal and multi- trophy winning wine that was just awarded a Top 100 Blue Gold Award at the Sydney International Wine Competition.
Judged as being in the Top 100 from over 2000 entries speaks very highly of its quality and suitability to drink with food.

Today saw the release of the keenly awaited James Halliday guide, The Australian Wine Companion 2014. Mistletoe has retained again its coveted 5 red star status, our 8th year in succession as a 5 star winery and has also been noted as one of the best wineries in the Hunter Valley.
