From an exceptional vintage.
A bit of a reversion to the old “Dolly Parton”style of Chardonnay, albeit with a bit more finesse, and using older French oak barrels rather than oak chips,as was the case so often back in the ’80’s.
Following traditional treatment the wine underwent malo-lactic fermentation, and batonage (lees stirring) – this has added breadth to the palate and complexity to the finished wine.
Full bodied with heaps of grunt and generous flavours.
Food match – Mushroom Risotto with Parmesan.
Drink now to 2027.
