Barrel Fermented Rose 2017

This wine is made from Hunter Valley Shiraz grapes which were run through a destemmer crusher and allowed to spend approx. 12 hours on skins to extract the colour and tannins suitable to make good rose.

The juice was then transferred to older French oak puncheons for fermentation and maturation prior to bottling in October 2016.

The wine is vibrant red with a tinge of purple around the edge,and has a delightfully
perfumed nose. It has flavours of dark cherries,with a little hint of upfront sweetness,but finishes dry.

It is serious complex rose well suited to the robust flavours of Mediterranean cuisine.
Drink – now to 2021.
