    2008 Hunter Hilltops Shiraz Cabernet

Mistletoe-Hilltops-Shiraz-CabernetBlends of Shiraz and Cabernet are, at long last, being regarded as a truly definitive Australian wine style.

Some wine judges deem these blends as being “Australia’s national treasure of the wine world”.

This wine is a perfect e.g. of the synergy between these two grape varieties with the softness and suppleness of the Hunter Shiraz balancing the power and tannins of the Hilltops Cabernet.

Drinking nicely now, it will very well reward medium to long term cellaring – 2015 – 2018.
