2009 Hilltops Shiraz Viognier

Single vineyard wine.

Made from grapes grown in a drought year that were crushed and then co-fermented in small open fermenters. Maturation in older French oak barrels followed prior to bottling in May 2010.

The Shiraz component shows the blackberry characters of Hilltops Shiraz.

This is complemented by the spiciness and lifted bouquet of the Viognier.

An absolute cracker of a wine!
