2007 Shiraz – Sold Out
With time, we believe the 2007 vintage will prove to be one of the best in the last 20 years for Hunter Valley Shiraz.
The 2007 Shiraz was fermented in small open vats and then placed for maturation into a combination of older French oak puncheons and hogsheads where it remained until bottling in November 2008.
This is a classic Hunter Shiraz displaying the typical softness associated with quality vintages.
Bright red to the eye, it is showing plummy fruit flavours with hints of vanilla, black pepper and the typical leather, earthy character of a Hunter Shiraz, underpinned with restrained oak.
It is soft and velvety in the mouth with good balance and length.
Already drinking beautifully!
Cellaring potential – to 2020.
